Not Just a New Hollywood Trend

I’ve read about this new phenomenon of using a hot massage stone for spa therapy quite a bit lately. Of course, it’s all been in Hollywood gossip magazines, but that’s beside the point. Hollywood has a weird way of starting a lot of crazy trends. Not just spa therapies, too – though there are a lot of those! Does anyone else remember when Gwyneth Paltrow was into that ‘cupping’ massage? It left red circles all over her back, and she proudly walked the red carpet in a backless dress. I bet the few places that offered that therapy had their phones ringing off the hook. But yes, it’s not just beauty treatments that get hugely promoted through Hollywood celebrities. Think about Kaballah and Scientology. Had anyone heard of these before Madonna and Tom Cruise (respectively). Certainly not me.
Another strange one that I’ve heard about is ear candling. You place a burning taper near the ear, and supposedly suction is created. This draws the ear wax out of the ear, cleaning it, and improving your hearing. I definitely should get my ears cleaned. I’ve had a friend who did it, and she swears that her hearing was so much better afterwards. Years of impacted ear wax can solidify in the ear, and has to be drained by a doctor, I’ve heard! Though I suppose it does depend on whether you have the sticky or hard ear wax. Best to get it checked out by a professional.

Looking for Information on Starting my Own Business

I am looking for any type of small business tips relevant to my new business. I am starting a web based company that is going to be an affiliate style website. I am going to be locating buyers for specific products and forwarding them to the producing company. I have heard that this has become one of the fastest growing small businesses in the United States and that the return on investment is consistently positive. It takes minimal start up costs and can begin turning a profit quickly. The problem that I am faced with is my lack of experience. I am not sure what kind of things I am going to need to do in order to start this business. I am not even sure if I am going to have to register for a business license in order to do this. A lot of the information I have found so far is very vague on the subject and I am struggling to find the answers that I need. Hopefully I can find a website that has some small business tips or advice for someone like me and can at least point me in the right direction. I am excited to get started on my website and seeing what kind of success I can have.
